The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Norfolk District requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing Aerial Herbicide Treatment at the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area (CIDMMA) located in Portsmouth, Virginia. The intent of this requirement is turn-key ordering of herbicide treatment. As such, the contractor will be expected to obtain all legally required permits licenses etc., obtain and maintain all chemicals and equipment, and provide their own airport or landing area to conduct operations. Under no circumstances will the contractor be permitted to operate on the site – this includes but is not limited to takeoff, landing, chemical mix and/or transfer, and refueling. Aerial Application of Herbicide Treatment will include the following chemicals: 1. Apply Habitat (or chemical equivalent) herbicide at the rate of 6 pints per acre. This will be a single treatment up to 750 acres with a minimum of 250 acres The anticipated NAICS Code is: NAICS Code 561710 for Exterminating and Pest Control Services with Small Business Size Standard of $12,000,000.00 applies. Please see question number 9 below for more information regarding the NAICS code. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for Proposal, and should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District to issue a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend responding to this request. No solicitation is currently available. Anticipated combined synopsis/solicitation issuance date is within the month of August 2020. The period of performance is anticipated to be a base year with two (2) optional years of services. The official combined synopsis/solicitation will be issued on beta.SAM at https://beta.sam.gov/. The Firm's response to this Sources Sought shall be limited to no more than 5 pages and shall include the following information. 1. Firm's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Firm's level of interest in bidding on this solicitation when it is issued. 3. Firm's capacity to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity. 4.
