This synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Description: Aerial application of mosquito treatment is necessary for the upkeep of the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area in Portsmouth Virginia. Aerial application of mosquito treatment is necessary for the upkeep of the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area in Portsmouth Virginia. The performance period required is May 1 2019 to Nov 30 2019. The intent of this contract is turn-key ordering of mosquito treatment with a two day turn around on requests (as agreed upon between the COR and contractor at the time of work request). As such, the contractor will be expected to obtain all legally required permits licenses etc, obtain and maintain all chemicals and equipment, and provide their own airport or landing area to conduct operations.
