SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY – This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement or restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach and NO AWARD will occur from this notice. NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS are available for this notice. Responses to this Sources Sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), or Invitation for Bid (IFB). This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capabilities of both small AND large business firms. Qualified companies, regardless of their size or socio-economic status, are encouraged to respond. Two or more small business firms capable of performing this work may help to guide the acquisition strategy and influence potential set-aside. Businesses are strongly encouraged to review this SOURCES SOUGHT and submit according to the directions in this notice. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking firms capable of mobilizing equipment and machinery to Sebewaing, Michigan. The work will take place along the Sebewaing River and south levee, between Center Street and Railroad bridge. Clear vegetation, install steel sheet piles, install earth anchors, and backfill/grade. Excavated material will be reused onsite for backfill and grading. Demobilize when complete. The following information is provided: The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has a small business size standard of $45 million. Place of Contract Performance: Sebawing, MI United States The contract is anticipated to be solicited sometime in Summer/Fall 2024. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be Between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. This Sources Sought/RFI announcement is for planning and market research purposes only and is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The RFI is for Market Information and capabilities for planning purposes only. Responses to this notice is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses to the RFI is not mandatory and is not required to submit capabilities for the Sources Sought. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought/RFI Notice. The Government will not pay for information orcomments provided and will not recognize any cost associated with thesubmission of responses or comments. Interested and qualitied companies are encouraged to respond. The responses received to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed five (5) pages, including the Sources Sought Information Survey. Reference in the subject line "SOURCE SOUGHT Sebewaing River South Levee Repairs." Respondents will not be contacted regarding their submission or information gathered as a result of the Sources Sought.
