The purpose of the work is the modification of the Union Street Dam including demolition of the existing dam structures and appurtenances, construction of new weirs, bypass channel, fish-sorting chann... The purpose of the work is the modification of the Union Street Dam including demolition of the existing dam structures and appurtenances, construction of new weirs, bypass channel, fish-sorting channels, research building, pedestrian bride, park areas, and restoration after construction. The work generally includes, but is not limited to concrete removal, removal and disposal of fill/sediment materials, construction of the bypass and fish-sorting channels, construction of instream habitat including channel bed material and boulders, construction of shown bridges/buildings and park features, and restoration of the river bank and other disturbed areas within the project limits. This work will be conducted while the contractor actively manages water levels on the Boardman River and flow over/through the Union Street dam within the constraints specified in the drawings and specifications. Plans and Specifications are being provide to aid in planning and proposal development.
