AMENDMENT 0001: Amendment 0001 to this solicitation is hereby posted and incorporates the following: A) Extends proposal due date B) Extends question due date for clarification questions in response to Government answers to contractors questions. SPECIAL NOTICE: AMENDMENT 0001 to this solicitation shall be posted either 18 May 2020 or 19 May 2020 in which the Government will extend the due date for proposals as well as allow offerors to ask follow-up/clarification questions on the responses provided to questions asked prior to the question deadline of 13 May 2020 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. All questions received prior to the question deadline shall be responded to and attached to the forthcoming Amendment 0001. Offerors shall have approximately twenty-four (24) hours to ask follow-up/clarification questions to the Government responses to their initial questions. No "New" questions shall be responded to by the Government. PURPOSE: The Detroit District of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is issuing a Request for Propsoal (RFP) solicitation for a firm fixed price construction contract to accomplish the following work at the Soo Lock Complex, Sault Ste. Marie, MI. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The scope of work will be attached to the solicitation documentation. The intended start date for this requirement is within 30 days after contract award. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, $39.5 Million. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: None (Full and Open/Unrestricted) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this project as well as the virtual site visit and submittal of electronic proposals will be available in the attached solicitation.
