Final Questions and Answers are provided, an amendment will be posted on or around 7 July to extend the bid opening to 14 July at 2:00pm. An amendment is forthcoming that will provide the final approved Q&A along with bid opening extension that will not be earlier than 9 July The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking firms that have the capability to provide construction services for FY20 Howards Bay Remedial Dredging project. The work includes dredging approximately 52,000 CY of material from the Federal Navigation Channel and placing it in a Government Furnished Disposal Facility. The work also, include environmental dredging to remove approximately 80,000 CY of contaminated sediment and debris from Howards Bay and disposing of it in the WI Point Landfill. Other activities include dewatering and stabilizing of contaminated dredged material, confirmation sampling, air and turbidity monitoring, collecting and treating return water, capping and grading of WI Point Landfill, and placing residuals cover material. The contractor will have an estimated 240 calendar days to complete this requirement. General Information: The estimated cost of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562910 Environmental Remediation Services, which has a small business size standard of 750 employees. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is intended to be issued a firm-fixed price contract set-aside for Small Business. Hard copy documents will NOT be supplied by the Government to any interested parties as a result of the solicitation. The solicitation package will include documents, drawings, specifications and attachments. In order for interested contractors to conduct business with the Federal Government, entity are required to continue to update or and register at System for Award Management (SAM) at: www.SAM.gov.
