The purpose of this contract is to have a contractor use a US Army Corps of Engineers provided operator panel to create and install an interactive Soo Locks simulation experience for visitors incorporating multiple video screens and sound dome. (The government will provide film footage, animation, and recordings) The Lock Operator Simulator Exhibit will be located at the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center in Duluth, Minnesota. The Visitor Center receives over 450,000 visitors per year; many are children. Therefore the components need to be easy to operate, durable, easy to clean and maintain, and aesthetically pleasing.
