The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District is seeking companies to provide information for a new Lattice Boom Tractor Crawler Crane. The Government anticipates to procure a new lattice boom tractor crawler crane to be place on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Crane Barge Manitowoc, 132'x 44'x8' Crane Barge that conducts harbor maintenance on the Great Lakes. The new lattice boom tractor crawler crane must be able to perform both duty cycle (armor stone placement) and heavy lift operations. Place of Performance: The Tractor Crawler Crane is to be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lake Michigan Area Office, Kewaunee Floating Plant 124 North Main Street Kewaunee, Wisconsin 54216. Delivery Schedule: Within 1 year following contract award. Technical Specifications: - 120 to 150 ton capacity. - Duty Cycle Requirements: 105 feet of boom with a lifting capacity of 16,000 pounds at 85 feet radius on a floating crane barge. - Retractable crawler tracks, crane shall be fully mobile when crawlers retracted. Track operational width shall be a minimum of 17 feet wide. - Minimum line pull of 70,000 pounds with free fall option. - Hydraulically operated elevated cab, capable of being raised to a height of 9 feet above ground level. Heavy Lift Requirement Minimums: - Main winches rated at least 78,600 lbs. each. - Main engine minimum rating of 500kW. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 333120 - Construction Machinery Manufacturing. Business size standard is 1,500 Employees. This is a sources sought notice only. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information from qualified businesses and conduct market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10.
