The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District intends to solicit for supplies and services to establish a Multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) for Aggregate Sand and Topsoil. The work will include aggregate sand topsoil and related supplies to provide services throughout location at St. Mary’s Falls Canal facility for a five year period stating in calendar year 2019. Specific delivery quantities and times will be coordinated by Soo Area Office personnel with the contractor on a will call basis. Delivery lead time shall be no longer than three business days (Monday – Friday, excluding Federal Holidays). Anticipated minimum and maximum total order quantities for each year are specified below. The minimum quantity requested for an individual delivery will be as follows: 22A Dense Graded Aggregate: 10 tons 6AA Coarse Aggregate: 10 tons Fill Sand: 15 cubic yards Topsoil: 5 cubic yards Material and Specification for this project will include: Michigan DOT 2012 Standard Specification for Construction. 22A DENSE GRADED AGGREGATE: Shall comply with Michigan DOT 2012 Standard Specifications for Construction Section 902. 6AA COARSE AGGREGATE: Shall comply with Michigan DOT 2003 Standard Specifications for Construction Section 902. FILL SAND: Shall be a Class IIIA granular material, consisting primarily of natural aggregate, suitable for fill and sub base per Michigan DOT 2012 Standard Specifications for Construction Section 902.07. TOPSOIL: Shall comply with Michigan DOT 2012 Standard Specifications for Construction Section 917, except engineer inspection is not required. General: The successful contractor for this project will enter into agreement to provide supplies and services placed against the multiply blanket purchase agreements. The Government intends to issue fixed unit price for recurring work items. Submission Instructions: Interested contractors who consider themselves qualified to perform services are encouraged to respond to this Source Sought Notice W911XK19R0012 FY19 Aggregate Sand and Topsoil. Sources Sought Information Request Form located in this “Source Sought” notice https://www.fbo.gov. Respondents will not be contacted regarding their submission or information gathered as a result of the Source Sought notice. The results of this market research will contribute to determine the method of procurement. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information or comments provided. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any cost associated with submission of comments.
