The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking contractors for the FY19 Wisconsin Piping Plover Habitat, project. The work include provide all work, materials, equipment, labor, supervision, management, and administration to construct a piping plover habitat in the Duluth-Superior Harbor. Construction involves the placement of dredged material obtained from the Federal Navigation Channel to create an approximately 14 acre beach for piping plover foraging and nesting habitat. Other activities include debris removal, grubbing and clearing, grading material to meet required beach profile, placement of cobble patches for nesting, and installation of a perimeter fence to exclude mammalian predators and trespassers. General Information: The estimated range of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a size standard of $36.5 Million in average annual receipts. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is intended to be issued a firm-fixed price contract set-aside 100% for Small Businesses. Approximate solicitation posting date: Early or Mid April 2019. The solicitation package materials, documents, drawings, specifications, and attachments to the anticipated solicitation will be available only electronically and via FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. Hard copy documents will NOT be supplied by the Government to any interested parties as a result of this solicitation. Please note that the Government will not be maintaining a bidders list during the solicitation period. However, vendors are strongly encouraged to review the "Interested Vendors List" tab found on the FedBizOpps website for this solicitation. In order for interested contractors to conduct business with the Federal Government, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submission of bid.
