The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking contractors for maintenance dredging in Bay County, MI. The project consists of the following: Scope: Routine O&M dredging project to address shoaling and sedimentation in the Saginaw River. Within each harbor, material removed will be placed at the DMDF. The upper river will be dredged between 888+00 to 938+00. The lower river will be dredged from 20+00 to Bay at 145+00 to project depth +1ft over depth. The period of performance is estimated to be less than 60 days. Placement will occur at the DMDF. DMDF maintenance will include placing gravel on existing roads, mowing and grubbing. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project. The estimated price range of construction is between $1 Million and $5 Million. The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract. The Government intends to solicit this opportunity as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The IFB is intended to be issued as a 100% set-aside for small businesses and the government intends to award to the lowest priced bid that is determined to be responsible. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has a size standard of $37 Million in average annual receipts. Approximate solicitation posting date: the end of April 2025. The contract is anticipated to have a completion date of 31 October 2025. A bid bond in the amount of the offer is required. The solicitation package materials, documents, drawings, specifications, and attachments to the anticipated solicitation will be available only electronically via SAM.gov and/or the PIEE solicitation module. In order for interested contractors to conduct business with the Federal Government, contractors must register their firm at the System for Award Management (SAM).
