JP Martha Float Mooring Bitts Retrofit
The USACE Pittsburgh District requires a prime contractor for the John P. Murtha Floating Mooring Bitt Retrofit, involving in-the-wet construction to install Government-furnished floating mooring bitts into a fabricated embedded frame on the existing River Chamber Middle Wall of an active navigation lock. Work includes fabricating and installing dewatering boxes (cofferdams) with a strict maximum duration of 90 days, heavy demolition and cast-in-place concrete work, fabrication of steel anchorage frames, and commercial diving support. The contract will be a Firm-Fixed-Price construction contract, unrestricted full-and-open, with NAICS 237990. Performance must be completed within 730 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed. Contractors must be registered in SAM and PIEE with the Proposal Manager role to bid.
