Bill Young Lock and Dam in New Kensington, PA. The work consists of removing and replacing roofs on the Operations Building as follows: Operations Building ? Remove the existing roofing materials, insulation, roof drain covers, and existing EPDM from the operations building. Install a new, fully adhered, 90 mil EPDM roofing system, conforming to ASTM D4637/D4637M. The roofing system shall have new tapered insulation with RValue of at least 30, in accordance with (IAW) ASHRAE 90.1-2019, and include the addition of any saddles, crickets, curbs, or other features to ensure positive drainage to the roof drains. Placement of insulation will accommodate roof expansion and the strategy for this accommodation will be documented in the roof plan. New flashing shall be installed on remaining protrusions and the parapet wall. Inspect and repair the drains and install new roof drain covers. The new drain inserts will replace existing roof drains.Cupola Roof ? Contractor shall demolish the old shingle roof to include sheathing, asphalt shingles, drip edge, etc. Contractor shall replace Cupola roof, from where the roof attaches to the walls, with a new wood frame, new wood sheathing and shingle roof system. Replace copying the existing design as specified in separate attachment Attachment 2 ? Roof Plan Summary. Repair or replacement of the Cupola walls is not a part of this contract.The period of performance is 270 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses.
