The US Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement to replace the Hydraulic Pump Control Panel at Loyalhanna Lake, Indiana County, Saltsburg, PA. This requirement is to replace the Hydraulic Pump Control Panel while maintaining equal or better capabilities and minimizing downtime. The Hydraulic Pump Control Panel shall be replaced as shown on the drawings. In addition, the four (4) sluice gate panels and all associated components shall each be removed back to its source except for the conduits, which will be left with pull strings installed. The existing panels are as shown in the attached drawings and photos. The three (3) panels (Control Panel and Two Starter Panels) are in the Hydraulic Pump Room in Monoliths 11 and 12 of the Loyalhanna Dam. These cabinets operate the Sluice Gates at the base of the dam. Together, they operate four (4) Service Gates and four (4) Emergency Gates. The contractor shall be expected to minimize downtime to less than 8 hours, while minimizing cost. Any loss of service shall have 5 working days? notice, coordinated with the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) and the Resource Manager, and approved by the ACO prior to loss of service.
