Maxwell Lock and Dam, Roof Replacements The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for the replacement of the existing roofs on several buildings at Maxwell Lock and Dam at East Millsboro, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. The work consists of replacing the Operations Building roof and a Maintenance Building roof, with an option to replace two (2) Control Shelter roofs, and a Service Building roof. The Operations Building roof is over 30 years old and has been patched. This roof is currently leaking in several locations. The existing Operations Building roof is an approximately 30 foot by 60 foot membrane roof with stone ballast over an original built up roof. The Maintenance Building roof is an approximately 102 foot by 24 foot membrane roof over an original built up roof. The Service Building roof is an approximately 62 foot by 29 foot membrane roof with stone ballast over an original built up roof. The Control Shelter roofs (two total) are 16’ 7” by 14’ 1” built up roof, single story structures. The site of the work may be reached from state and local roads and streets. Access to the operations building and control shelters will be across the miter gate walkway. The walkways are 36 inches wide with 42 inch tall handrails on the sides. Loads on the miter gate walkways shall not exceed 500 pounds. During lockages miter gate walkways will be unavailable for use. The work shall be completed within 275 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed, or July 1, 2022, whichever occurs first. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This acquisition will be procured as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract. All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. Requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. Contractors MUST be registered and in active status in the System for Award Management (SAM) BEFORE SUBMITTING A QUOTE ON THIS SOLICITATION (go to https://www.sam.gov to register). There is no fee to register or renew registration at SAM.gov. Please be aware that SAM requires a Notarized Statement as part of their registration and renewal process.
