Stonewall Jackson Bridge Abutment Repair Synopsis The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for void filling and stocking of material at the Stonewall Jackson Dam, Weston, Lewis County, WV. The major features of the requirements are identified below: The overall contract scope of work requires void-filling beneath an existing bridge abutment using cementitious grout. Void is estimated at about 0.75 ft. high x 25 ft. x 25 ft. Void is accessible at ground surface through 0.75 ft. high gap which is about 10 ft. long. Provide means to confine newly placed grout to the void. Grout shall have a minimum strength of 3,000 psi at 28 days. Erosion and sedimentation controls will be required as a stream is beneath the bridge. There are Awardable Options included in this procurement and will consist of approximately 1020 cubic yards of rip rap; 440 cubic yard of filter layer stone; and 220 cubic yards of sand delivered to the Project Site and stockpiled. Period of Performance will be 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed (NTP), if Options are awarded 30 days will be added to the Period of Performance. The estimated cost of the proposed work is $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This acquisition will be will procured as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract. All responsible bidders are encouraged to participate. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about June 18, 2020, online through beta.SAM (beta.sam.gov); therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. Contractors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) BEFORE SUBMITTING A BID ON THIS SOLICITATION (go to https://www.sam.gov to register). Please be aware that SAM requires a Notarized Statement as part of their registration and renewal process. This process could take more than ten (10) days.
