The Pittsburgh District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a need for Renovation work at the Upper Ohio Area Construction Office, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The work includes the removal and installation of receptacles & wall plates, switches & switch plates, doors & closers in the women’s and men’s restrooms, examination & correction of wired connections to the lighting fixture and occupancy sensor in the women’s restroom and the electric water heater in the men’s restroom, floor drain cover installation in the male restroom, corrected adjustment of the automatic flushing valves in the women’s and men’s restrooms; floor transition, drop tile ceiling, fluorescent light fixture, diffuser and grille installation in the locker room; removal and installation of carpet & cove base throughout the corridors to include the reception/administrative area, repair of damaged drywall in the corridors and reception/administrative area, and examination of partition wall studs for water damage; painting of an office partition wall; a window installation, splitting a circuit to isolate an office light fixture power supply from the corridor light fixtures, office signage mounting and replacement of exterior entrance light fixtures. These items shall include all other work required to complete the work as specified herein. The Contractor shall perform all work as indicated in the specifications utilizing the best standards of performance and construction for the respective trades. The Contractor shall utilize personnel who are thoroughly trained and familiar with the indicated requirements and the methods needed for proper performance of work. The Contractor shall coordinate construction to insure uninterrupted progress and to provide an accurate fit between the works of all trades. The Contractor shall provide all equipment and materials necessary to complete the work as specified. The period of performance for the contract is 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $39.5 M. This requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. Any resultant contract shall be Firm-Fixed Price and one Award is anticipated. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ). Please see attached documents on the Project including the Solicitation and the Six (6) Attachments. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must register as an interested vendor on the https://beta.sam.gov/ website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible for providing notification of any changes to this solicitation. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database PRIOR to the time of quotes are due. Registration is free at www.sam.gov. ***PLEASE READ*** 7/8: Clarification Comments In regards to how much ceiling tile work needs to be done on this project, it is approximately 12'x11' in the Locker Room. The Locker Room is the Storage Room adjacent to the area identified as the Laboratory on the Drawing. Only the doors will need replaced, no frames. The type of carpet required is the rolled kind, not tiles. 7/2/20: Amendment 0008 is actually Amendment 0001. This is the first Amendment being issued againt this Solicitation. This Amendment is being issued to incorporate the current Wage Determination (Attachment 3) and extend the due date of Quote submission from 26 June 2020 to 09 July 2020. 8/26/20: Amendment 0011 is actually Amendment 0002. This is the second Amendment being issued against this Solicitation. This Amendment is being issued to provide notification that no award will be made for this acquisition; to cancel this RFQ solicitation; and to provide notification of the Government's intent to repackge and resolicit this requirement in FY21.
