The project at Dashields Lock & Dam includes furnishing and installing the boom anchorage system; installing the floating boom system; furnishing and installing a barrel storage rack system on land; and minor land-based site improvements. It should be noted that the floating boom materials will be provided as Government Furnished Materials. The boom anchorage system is expected to be comprised of approximately twenty precast concrete gravity anchors to be placed on the river bed; anchors are expected to weigh up to 10 tons each. The barrel storage rack system will be located within a previously developed area. This procurement will be Firm Fixed Price and will be a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The period of performance for the contract is 365 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All responsible offerers are encouraged to participate.
