The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for the sealing of joints at the outlet stilling basin of the Mosquito Creek Dam along State Route 305 in Cortland, Ohio. Access to the work area for the site can be obtained by constructing an access road from a nearby parking lot (entirely on Federal Government Property). Work at the project will consist of sealing the vertical concrete joints of the existing stilling basin at the outlet of the reservoir by performing concrete drilling and inserting PVC waterstops and backfilling the holes. Horizontal joints will be sealed using expansive grout and flexible sealant. Work along the existing stilling basin will be approximately 90 feet in length on each side. It will be necessary to work inside the active stilling basin, requiring the use of cofferdams or other water diversion measures. Additionally, the work will include extending an existing culvert pipe approximately 75 feet downstream to manage stormwater drainage. The work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $100,000 and $250,000. This acquisition will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside, and the resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. All responsible quoters are encouraged to participate. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about 26 August 2019, online through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov); therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored.
