Tygart Dam Trash Boom Replacement Synopsis The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement to replace the Trash Boom within Tygart Lake at Tygart Dam, Grafton, Taylor County, West Virginia. The general description of the work is as follows: The overall contract scope of work requires the contractor to remove and dispose of existing floating modular Trash Boom including metal connection parts, approximately 2000 feet long, from the lake, remove and dispose of any built up debris against the existing Trash Boom. The existing boom anchorages along the left and right banks above the reservoir line are to remain and to be re-used for the new trash boom. A floating modular commercially manufactured Trash Boom with new stainless steel connecting parts, of matching length and capacity, will be furnished by the Contractor and installed by the Contractor. Shipping and delivery will be the responsibility of the Contractor. A temporary laydown area will be provided on site and designated within drawings with temporary use of a boat launch facility to facilitate installation near the Tygart Dam. The original boom and the new replacement boom are modular units and can be separated into smaller segments as needed. The work shall be completed within 200 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed. The estimated magnitude of is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. This acquisition will be a 100% set aside for Small Business. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 12 April 2019, online through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov), therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must register as an interested vendor on the FBO.gov website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing notification of any changes to this solicitation. Contractors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) BEFORE SUBMITTING A BID ON THIS SOLICITATION (go to www.sam.gov to register). Please be aware that SAM requires a Notarized Statement as part of their registration and renewal process. This process could take more than ten (10) days. The NAICS for this procurement is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the small business size standard is $36,500,000.00.
