The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District has a requirement for the construction of a new temporary office building near the existing office building, a breezeway structure construction and improvements to the existing office building. The construction will be located at Charleroi Locks and Dam located in Monessen, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The general description of the work is as follows: The work includes providing all materials, labor, testing, demonstrations, and all operations required for a new temporary office building and improvements to the existing office trailer located at the Lower Monongahela Resident Engineer Office complex, near Monessen, PA. The work includes design and installation of the new temporary office building and breezeway, foundation design and installation, repairs and upgrade to the existing structure including roof, electrical, plumbing, and exterior cosmetics. A registered design professional will be required to submit the drawings and calculations for the new office building. The Contractor shall be responsible for all materials and equipment required, including designing, furnishing, and erecting all necessary scaffolds, work platforms, form work, templates, etc. required for the performance of the work. Work activities will require close coordination with the US Army Corps of Engineers Resident Engineer to minimize any impact during construction to the Resident Engineer Office Staff. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement will be advertised as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. The work shall be completed 270 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately 15 February 2019, online through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov), therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation, specification and drawings will not be honored. In order to receive notification of any amendments to the solicitation, interested vendors must register as an interested vendor on the fbo.gov website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing notification of any changes to the solicitation.
