In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.2 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) subsection 206.302-1, the United States Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Edgewood Contracting Division intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm fixed price, (FAR) based modification to an existing contract to procure an additional 2500 doses of TPOXX from Siga Technologies Inc. The Department of Defense requires delivery of approximately 2,500 oral treatment courses of TPOXX ®, to maintain the Force Health Protection’s stockpile for treatment against small pox and other orthopoxviruses. This procurement will assist in replacing the same oral treatment courses within the current inventory, set to expire. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action shall be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This special notice is for market research purposes and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible entities purporting to have the necessary qualifications and abilities to deliver these items may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation. This type of information shall be considered by the agency. Submission instructions are provided below. The Government shall retain comments and information received in response to this Sources Sought Notice. Proprietary information should be identified/marked as “Company Proprietary”. Do not use Government Security classification markings. Questions regarding this Special Notice should be emailed to the primary point of contact listed below. Respondents are encouraged to address their abilities to deliver this type of treatment prior to the deadline. All responses shall be received on or before 4:30 Eastern Time on Thursday December 14 2023. Submissions shall be in the form of electronic mail (email), only. Any attachments shall be in Microsoft Word (.doc) or Adobe Portable Document (PDF) format. Material considered advertisement is not desirable.
