This Requirement is to provide ruggedized transit cases to secure and carry the Radiological Detection System (RDS) that will be fielded by the Joint Product Leader for Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPdL RND) at the Joint Program Executive Office Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND). The Contractor shall deliver one (1) transit case for each Configuration (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9) and their corresponding Special Packaging Instruction (SPI). Details for each configuration are described in Table 1 of the Statement of Work. The ruggedized transit cases designed shall meet the following requirements: 1) Withstand Grade A, Type A, Class 1 shock test of MIL-DTL-901E 2) Case shall not have wheels 3) Case material is not specified (can be plastic or metal) 4) Water-proof hard-shell (preferably commercial) cases 5) Durable, lightweight, impact-resistant foam inserts 6) Cases shall have a handle(s) in accordance with MIL-STD-1472H 7) Cases may have a strap in accordance with MIL-STD-1472H 8) Case lids shall be secured with a latching mechanism in accordance with MIL-STDV 1472H; 9) Cases shall provide sufficient space to stow relevant devices and related equipment. Related equipment is defined as the SNAP cable, Probe Cable, AC adapter, Batteries, Paper Manual (approximately 750 pages of 5x8 inch paper).
