The United States Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood Contracting Division (ACC-APG ECD), on behalf of the Combat Capabilities Development Command’s, Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC), Chemical Biological Test Division’s (CBTD's), Protection and Decontamination Test Branch (PDTB) and Detection Branch (DB), has awarded a sole source, Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), contract to Joint Research and Development, Inc., a certified Small Disadvantaged Veteran’s Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). This effort will provide support for a recurring requirement for the procurement of qualified chemical surety laboratory technical experience, expertise, technical laboratory work, for applied and basic research, technology evaluation, methodology development and systems development to defeat chemical/biological threats and to evaluate materials for customer programs that reflect areas of individual and collective protection of the war fighter and first responders. The resultant contract was a Cost reimbursement contract with an anticpated Period of Performance (PoP) from 01 August 2021 through 31 July 2024, which includes one 12 month base period and two 12 month option periods, and a total contract value of $3,914,108.41.
