The Department of War’s JPdM CS is conducting market research to identify industry sources that can provide a Biological Warfare Agent identification capability for integration into the U.S. Navy’s Enhanced Maritime Biological Detection (EMBD) system. The EMBD Identification Subsystem would serve as a backward-compatible replacement for the Joint Biological Point Detection System Identifier and automatically provide confirmatory identification of BWAs in liquid samples. In operation, the EMBD Collector gathers samples externally and routes them to the IDS through the EMBD Fluid Transfer System. A formal Request for Information is attached with full details.
