This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The Joint Product Leader for Radiological Nuclear Defense (JPdL-RND) is issuing this RFI as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest and industry technologies available to support/provide the United States Armed Services with ruggedized transit cases to carry the Radiological Detection System (RDS). RDS is a rugged radiation detection meter that will replace legacy radiological survey meters and will provide a joint solution that eliminates parts obsolescence, increases capability, and reduces life-cycle costs.
