Steel toe boots will be requested by this directorate on a monthly basis on new employees’ arrival dates and annually on current employees’ anniversary. Vendor can ship entire order at one time or send groups of boots by sizes based on the submitted request from the COR. This command can accept the entire shipment at one time.The approved source must have the ability to conduct or arrange boot fitting within 3 days of notification request. Once fittings are taken, email directorate for verification. It is highly suggested projection of supply chain management issues are considered and to fit for multiple brands to ensure fast response. Due to the nature in which boots are needed, must provide safety boots within 5 to 7 days to directorate. Shall be compliant in accordance with ASTM F2412-18 and F2413-18 standards for impact and compression and incorporates a safety toe made of top quality lightweight compressed fiberglass. When boots are selected by the employee at a business: every month there will be a week set aside for employees that are notified that they are to receive safety shoes/boots that month. The business will record the names of the employees, their boot sizes, names of the safety shoes/boots they selected, and they will bill the DOTS monthly with the above information.
