MICC-Moore is requesting fire extinguisher maintenance services and replacement for the MCOE, to ensure that the fire extinguishers are available and operate properly when needed. The contractor will make sure that the fire extinguishers are up to standard according to Federal and State regulations, and NFPA 10. There are two types of fire extinguishers: 1) Halon and Co2 can be inspected and refilled/recharged but cannot be serviced with non-Army parts; 2) All other fire extinguishers can be inspected, maintained/repaired, refilled/recharged, and tested. The contractor is expected to service and or replace the extinguishers if the regulation warrants. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, licensed personnel, equipment, tools, labor, material, parts, transportation, and waste disposal necessary to perform the required work for approximately 550 fire extinguishers. Not all fire extinguishers from DOTS will be serviced at a single time. The services requested will not be for all 550 fire extinguishers at one time but as they become unserviceable and/or they are due routine services over the course of time at numerous intervals and dates.
