Work under this requirement consists of a construction, removal, replacement, and repairs associated with roadway and airfield projects at JBLM including removal, replacement and repair of existing subgrade, utilities, shoulders, urbs, gutters, sidewalks and other real property common to roadway and airfield pavements. Work may also include minor "new construction", to include construction of new roads, new sidewalks, or new parking lots. Work will be provided under a multiple firm fixed- price task orders issued as provided in the parent IDC contract. Each task order may involve a variety of construction trades. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, and ancillary items necessary to complete each project from conception to completion. The Department of Public Works (DPW) requires contracted support for paving requirements on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington to include Airfield and Roadway Pavement. DPW plans, maintains, operates, and protects the JBLM infrastructure, facilities, and environment for the approximately 40,000 Service Members, 15,000 civilians and their family members. Work under this requirement consists of a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction work on vehicle roadways and airfield paving projects at JBLM including removal, replacement and repair of existing subgrade, utilities, shoulders, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and other real property common to roadway and airfield pavements. Work may also include minor “new construction”, to include construction of new roads, new sidewalks, or new parking lots. This requirement is in direct support of JBLM. The majority of the contract is anticipated to be 90% repair and maintenance of existing paving with 10% new work (based on any changes to statutory codes or replacements).
