In accordance with the ALPA FY 21/22/23 Planning Guidance, the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE) and Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) will host MSSPIX 2022 to examine Doc... 1. Intent. In accordance with the ALPA FY 21/22/23 Planning Guidance, the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE) and Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) will host MSSPIX 2022 to examine Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) capabilities and concepts designed to address experiment objectives for Maneuver Support, Sustainment and Protection. Defeating capable enemies in the future requires Army maneuver forces enabled by Maneuver Support and Sustainment equities in all five domains – Land, Air, Cyberspace, Space and Maritime. 2. Timeline. Submissions are due in accordance with Enclosure 2; MSSPIX 23 Submitter’s Guide, at Appendix A. All dates are projected and may shift. 3. Experiment Objectives. A list of Experiment Objectives follows. See Enclosures 1 & 3 for more information regarding desired capabilities associated with each experiment objectives. A. Objective 1: Assess potential material and non-material opportunities to better enable Protection contributions to Multi Domain Operations (MDO) ready Army by 2035. B. Objective 2: Assess potential material solutions that enable Army sustainment to provide tactical formations the ability to achieve overmatch through speed and range at the point of need for a ready Army of 2035. C. Objective 3: Better enable MDO forces to understand the operational environment. This includes application of the Synthetic Training Environments (STE) to prepare maneuver support, sustainment, and protection forces for MDO (linkage to STE CFT). D. Assess potential application of robotic/ autonomous systems and artificial intelligence to better enable Maneuver Support, Sustainment and Protection contributions to MDO ready Army by 2035.Included under this objective are edge processing for Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) and block chain and the prioritization data analytics. Both of these efforts supports the Network CFT. 4. Technology Selection Process. As proposals are received they will be socialized with potential sponsors from the Army Modernization Enterprise (AME). The AME includes Army Futures Command, the Engineer Research & Development Center, Space & Missile Defense Technical Center, Army Capability managers, and more. During this review proposals will be evaluated using the following three tier scale. A. Tier I. Select – No requirement for briefing. Will be nominated to Joint Modernization Command (JMC) for inclusion. B. Tier II. Possible Select – Briefing in person or via telephone. The date is to be coordinated. This may result in the technology being nominated to Maneuver Support or Sustainment Capability Development Integration Directorate leadership for inclusion. C. Tier III. Non-Select – No requirement for briefing. Will not be nominated to Maneuver Support or Sustainment Capability Development Integration Directorate leadership for inclusion. D. Tier II technologies will be scheduled to make presentations. The presentation will consist of a 15-minute presentation followed by 10 minutes for questions. Technology providers are restricted to using only their quad charts for this presentation with one exception. Technology providers may opt to use video as a part of their briefing but the video presentation will count against their 15 minutes of allotted time. There is no guarantee the video will play on the Army computer systems. All technology white papers will be available for the Technology Selection Committee to review. Additional materials such as brochures or equipment (including the actual technology) are prohibited during presentations. E. If presenters are not available for their scheduled briefing time for any reason, their briefing will be moved to the end of the day or next available time. Technologies that fail to appear for presentation will not be considered for selection. F. Technologies that obtain a government sponsor will be packaged and briefed to the designated Maneuver Support CDID or Sustainment CDID leaders for approval. Final approval should be made NLT 29 April 2022 and Technology Providers will be notified the following week. G.
