The agency seeks a commercial off-the-shelf Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) equipped with an aerial ignition payload, thermal/optical sensors, and support equipment for forestry and controlled burn operations. The system must be NDAA and Buy American compliant, and the vendor must state whether it is on the DIU Blue UAS Cleared List, while also meeting FAA regulations. Key technical requirements include at least a 55-minute flight time without payload, a 35 lb payload capacity, 5 km communication range, and operation in temperatures from 40°F to 105°F with wind resistance up to 15 m/s. The UAS must support aerial ignition sphere delivery with safety features like remote emergency release, geo-fencing, and onboard sensors, plus a 640x512 radiometric thermal camera and a Full HD 10x optical zoom camera. Deliverables include the full UAS package, batteries, chargers, spare parts, a minimum 3-day training for five personnel, and an annual maintenance/care plan.
