The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island intends to award a Sole Source requirement to Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding Co. in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract action will result in a twelve month extension (consisting of one four month base period with two, four month options) modification of APS-5 Army Watercraft contract W911S0-14-C-0004 to extend services until Headquarters Department of the Army determines a path forward regarding divestment of the Army’s Watercraft Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this announcement is 336611 – Ship Building and Repairing. The expected award date for this proposed action is no later than March 28, 2021.
