The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island awarded a Sole Source requirement to Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding Co. in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-2; Unusual and Compelling Urgency. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The contract action added Divestment Requirements to the current contract, W911S0-14-C-0004, as a result of the release of FRAGO #4. The modification added requirements needed in order to prepare vessels for sale during the Sales and Exchange Auction. The modification consists of a base period from 2 June 2021 to 28 July 2021, and two potential option periods of four months each. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this announcement is 336611 – Ship Building and Repairing. The award date for this actions is June 2, 2021.
