Red River Army Depot (RRAD), Texarkana, TX, intends to award a multiyear single source commercial contract for new manufactured Heater kits, P/N 5011956A that will support the M997A3 High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) ambulance. Contract is for an estimated 722 each heater units. Negotiations to be conducted soley with Webasto Products North America as the only company currently authorized to manufacter the heater units for the M997A3 High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) ambulance. The award has an approved Justification and Approval for a single source. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements per FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B): Unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. This solicitation is prepared on a Standard Form (SF)1449, and it can be made available upon request. There is currently no TDP available for the public.
