Red River Army Depot (RRAD), Texarkana, TX, intends to award a multiyear single source commercial contract for new manufactured HVAC Kits 57K6238 and Power Inverter Kit 57K6242 in support for the M997A3 HMMWV Ambulance Program. Contract is for an estimated 722 ea. kits. This solicitation and negotiations is to be conducted with AM General, LLC., as the only company currently authorized to manufacture the HVAC and Power Inverters for the M997A3 HMMWV Ambulance. The impending award has an approved Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(l), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements per FAR 6.302-l(a)(2)(ii)(B): Unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. The solicitation is prepared on a Standard Form (SF) 1449, and it can be made available upon request. There is no Technical Data Package included with this solicitation.
