Request for Information (RFI) The Development Command Soldier Center (DEVCOM SC)/Product Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PdM SCIE) seeks Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) sources for a Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) compatible magazine pouch for the M110A1 7.62mm Lightweight Precision Rifle. The pouch shall support the following: Retains the M110A1 10- and 20- round magazine (7.62mm ammunition). Compatible with existing Modular, Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) systems such as current load bearing equipment, protective vests/plate carriers, and battle belts. Flap retention – Flap may be removable and have no exaggerated tab for gripping. Friction retention – Friction shall be accomplished by incorporating an elastic-type material to the outer edges of the magazine pouch. Elastic cord retention – Elastic cord retention that is capable of being removed by the user. The elastic cord shall connect to the main structure of the pouch and shall be capable of retaining 10 and 20 round magazines. The cord shall be capable of exposing the magazine for use without impeding the main compartment of the magazine pouch. The cord shall have a device that allows for adjustment toward stiffness applied to the magazine. Provides a minimum of 120 days of field use. Fabrics shall be Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP). All components will be 100% U.S. made. Please indicate the size of your business in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation definition of small or large business. Please provide normal inventory, production capacity and timelines to support procurement of 20 pouches, 18,000 pouches and 36,000 pouches. This notice is for market research only. This is not a request for quotations. No solicitation document exists. The information received under this announcement may be used to develop an acquisition strategy.
