Related Notice - W911QY21SC001 Area of Interest - W911QY21SC001A002 Currently the Dismounted Soldier is at an increased risk of detection from various infrared (IR) imagers and thermal sensors. The current Army Combat Uniform (ACU) utilizes Operation Camouflage Pattern (OCP) to provide visual and Near IR (NIR) break-up of a Soldier’s signature. This effort to develop the next generation of MCTs that provide protection beyond NIR up to Long Wave IR (LWIR) will support development and fabrication of ensembles to include; combat uniforms (FR and Non-FR), over garment and/or poncho, hand and head covers. MCTs will provide Thermal IR (Mid Wave (MWIR) and LWIR) mitigating properties while maintaining the current OCP, Tan 499 or Camo Green 483 specifications while also meeting the revised NIR and Short Wave IR (SWIR) apparent reflectivity target values as described in the Area(s) of Interest (AoI). Please see the AoI attachments (AoI, NDA, Excel Sheet) for specific information. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (attached) must be submitted by all interested vendors.
