The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division (ACC-APG-NCD), has a requirement on behalf of Product Manager - Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM-SCIE). This acquisition is for the T-11, part of the Advanced Tactical Parachute System (ATPS), to be used for mass-tactical static line airdrop operations. Its design results in decreased rate of descent, low opening shock, and virtually no oscillation. It also allows the Soldier to wear body armor with higher exit weights, with an improvement in safety due to reduced landing force. This is a Qualified Products List (QPL) item, in accordance with FAR Subpart 9.2. Offerors must be qualified on the associated QPL at the time of contract award. A Government owned Technical Data Package (TDP) will be utilized in the manufacturing of this system. The NAICS code for this requirement is 314999. This acquisition will be conducted as a full and open solicitation, with an anticipated Request for Proposal (RFP) release date to FedBizOps of approximately 28 February 2019. A requirements firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated. Interested parties may address questions pertaining to this acquisition, via email only, to Danny Soto at danny.soto3.civ@mail.mil.
