This Sources Sought Announcement is to assist the Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center (CCDC Soldier Center) to identify potential sources to provide a high resolution infrared sensor imagers. CCDC-SC is looking for imagers that cover the 0.9 -1.7 µm, 1.0-5.0µm, and 7.5 -10.0 µm. The intent is to cover the desired infrared wavebands of the electromagnetic spectrum. The Government requests that responses be submitted electronically to mary.k.prebensen.civ@mail.mil and axel.e.rodriguez-negron.civ@mail.mil by 26 March 2020 by 5pm EST. Background: The CCDC Soldier Center Disruptive Materials and Fibers Team (DMFT) is in need of infrared sensor imagers that are rugged and can withstand field evaluation conditions. Hot and humid days and cold nights. The CCDC Soldier Center Disruptive Materials and Fibers Team (DMFT) manages the Camouflage Evaluation Facility (CEF). The CEF provides observers/users/evaluators the capability of observing and evaluating camouflage patterns (military, foreign, commercial, experimental designs) and solid colors on a variety of textile substrates and fabricated items, and face paints, year round. The DMFT is in the process of collecting images for baselining purposes and to further characterize the signature of our dismounted Soldiers. Description: The CCDC-Soldier Center is seeking infrared sensor imagers that cover the short to long wave regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. The imagers should be rugged and capable of withstanding field evaluation conditions (hot humid days, cold nights, woodland and desert areas, and rain). Specific Specifications: SWIR sensor camera InGaAs 0.9-1.7 µm SWIR-MWIR sensor camera 1.0-5.0 µm LWIR sensor camera 7.5-10 µm Deliverables: 3 infrared sensor imagers along with their appropriate accessories, calibration packages if any, available lenses. Delivery Date: The Government anticipates 2 months lead time for this item. Amendment 0001: Question 1: Does the RFI leans toward a stand-alone sensor and not on a gimbal? Answer 1: We are looking for standalone already integrated units. We are not looking for gimbals or anything like. The application is more for scientific (lab environment) and also for some limited field evaluations The detection ranges we are contemplating are 0 to 300 meters, maybe out to 1000 meters but we will use other sensors and radar for those distances.
