Notice Of Intent To Solicit To Sole Source – Equipment Maintenance Contract For Flash X-Ray Systems And Computed Radiology Systems

The Government intends to award a sole-source, five-year Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to FISICA Applied Technologies, Inc. for OEM replacement parts, maintenance, repair, calibration, upgrades, and engineering services for its Flash X-ray and Computed Radiography Systems. FISICA is the only responsible source due to its proprietary technical data and intellectual property; any other source would require costly reverse engineering and cause unacceptable delays. This is not a request for competitive proposals, but responsible sources may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement. Responses received by the closing date will be considered solely to determine whether competition is practicable. A decision not to compete is at the Government’s discretion.
