The U.S. Army Research Laboratory plans to acquire one Scanning Total Station with Extended-Range Wireless for its Detonation Science and Modeling Branch. The instrument must meet stringent requirements including 1 arc-second accuracy, integrated 3D laser scanning at 25,000 points per second, 500-meter reflectorless range, and extended-range wireless control up to 1 kilometer for safe operation during test activities. Additional requirements include full robotic operation with 360° tracking, integrated panoramic imaging, ruggedized field controller, field and office software, permanent license, and at least two training sessions. This is a notice of a proposed competitive action under FAR Part 12 for a commercial item. The anticipated award date is 31 August 2026.
