The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on proprietary information owned by the Original Manufacturer to existing Government owned custom-built engines. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with HFE International, LLC (CAGE: 66Z09) 8060 E Research Ct. Tucson, Arizona 85710 for two (2) motor generators and two (2) control electronics for Griffon AIE Genset engine. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, this notice does function as a Request for Information (RFI) for offeror’s who believe they can meet the Government’s requirement (see Section 9 below). Any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. 9. Requirement: This requirement is for the upgrade of a Government owned Griffon Aerospace Genset engine that includes the following OEM line items: Two (2) each, 20 Kilowatt (kW) 400 Volt (V) Thingap Alternator Two (2) each, 20kW 400V Griffon Valiant Generator Control Unit (GCU) One (1) job, technical support for aircraft integration The Government does not intend to use Part 12 for this acquisition.
