(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. INTENT TO SOLICIT ONLY ONE SOURCE The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government is soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) which states “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” The name of the company the Government intends to award a contract to is CAEN Technologies, Inc., located at 1 Edgewater Street, Suite 101, Staten Island, NY 10305-4937 US (CAGE Code: 4FUJ7). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposal received prior to the closing date and time of this solicitation. (ii) The solicitation number is W911QX23Q0134. This acquisition is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-04, effective 2 June 2023. (v) The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable): CLIN 0001: V1782 octal 32k digital multi-channel analyzer, QTY 1 CLIN 0002: R1470ETD 8 channel 8kV/3mA rack-mounted HV power supply, QTY 1 CLIN 0003: R1471ETD 8 channel 5.5kV rack-mounted HV power supply, QTY 1 CLIN 0004: Shipping, QTY 1 (vi) Description of requirements: The Nuclide Power Team, Energy Conversion Branch, ARD, requires one (1) V1782 octal 32k digital multi-channel analyzer, one (1) R1470ETD 8 channel 8kV/3mA rack-mounted high-voltage (HV) power supply, and one (1) R1471ETD 8 channel 5.5kV rack-mounted HV power supply. These units will augment and expand the research capabilities of ARL and has the ability to interface with existing instrumentation from CAEN. (vii) Delivery is required by 12 weeks after award of contract. Delivery shall be made to U.S. Army Research Labortory, 2800 Powder Mill Road, Adelphi, MD 20783. Acceptance shall be performed at the U.S. Army Research Labortory, Adelphi, MD 20783. The FOB point is U.S. Army Research Labortory, Adelphi, MD 20783.
