NAICS Code: 541715 3. Subject: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Research and enhance the power density and durability of current and future engines powering Army’s aviation platforms 4. Description: The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on compatibility and proprietary requirement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Cascade Technologies, Inc., 2445 Faber PL STE 100, Palo Alto, California, to research and enhance the power density and durability of current and future engines powering Army’s aviation platforms. Additionally, the requirement will include the advancement of the high-fidelity models and analysis tools to enable a unique capability to investigate the effects of multi-component engine interactions on unsteady aerothermal and material processes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, this notice does function as a Request for Information (RFI) for offeror’s who believe they can meet the Government’s requirement (see Section 9 below). Any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government does not intend to use Part 12 for this acquisition.
