Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. Technical Specifications The Contractor shall deliver one (1) temperature-controlled film coating applicator device to apply electrode slurries on substrate foils and films for the purposes of producing experimental electrodes that meet the following technical specifications: coating area be large enough to accommodate a foil that is 12 inches wide and 20 inches long coater must have a surface that has vacuum holes and is electrically heated with the ability to hold a steady temperature up to 100 °Celsius accept vacuum input from either a house vacuum source or a vacuum pump have a control arm with a controllable coating speed and this control arm should be able to accept a wide variety of doctor blades, spiral-wire coaters, and slot-die attachments C.
