The Contractor shall provide one (1) photon doppler velocimeter (PDV) system, in accordance with the below specifications: The PDV shall be man-portable, with a small footprint (within approximately 16 inches (”) X 10” x 10”). The PDV shall have a maximum laser output of approximately 50 milliwatts (mW). The PDV shall have a minimum of two (2) channels. The PDV shall also have the ability for frequency-shifted heterodyne (up-shifting) detection and offer control of the dithering function of each laser (sometimes referred to as “Whisper Mode” operation). The PDV system shall be capable of measurements from 10s of meters per second to 10 kilometers per second. The PDV system shall include all components required for velocity measurement with the exception of the oscilloscope for data recording. Manufacturer must demonstrate high sensitivity with significant reflection loss (order of -45 decibels (dB) or better).
