The Contractor shall provide one (1) large precision saw to accommodate a sample of at least 19 inches (”) wide (W) by (x) 15” depth (D) x 5” height (H) with an integrated lubricant cooling system which includes the following characteristics and capabilities: a. Power system 220-240 Volts (V), 50-60 Hertz (Hz) b. Automatic cleaning function for cleaning of the inside of the machine c. Automatic cutting of specimens d. Internal lighting of the cutting chamber e. Saw shall be able to fit cutoff wheels at least 350 millimeters (mm) in diameter f. Saw shall be capable of using both diamond or abrasive cutoff wheels g. Saw shall capable of feed rates of at least 0.05 millimeters per second (mm/s) to five (5) mm/s h. Saw shall be capable of cutoff wheel speed of at least 1500 revolutions per minute (RPM) i. “Smart” cutting functionality that adjusts feed rate based on load readout from blade impinging on the specimen j. Saw shall have safety interlocks to prevent contact with the cutoff wheel during operation k. Shall have serial sectioning capability l. Shall have database function for storage of multiple cutting recipes m. Saw shall include the following accessories: i. Clamping tools ii. Quick-clamping tools iii. Clamping tools shall be capable of handling different sample geometries (i.e. flat sheet, round stock, or square stock) n. The saw shall be able to operate with different lubricants applicable to different materials (i.e. special lubricants for cutting Titanium parts). o. The contractor shall provide all associated user manuals, pre-installation guides, and supplementary information. p. The contractor shall provide warranty service for at least one (1) year, And one (1) bench top precision saw with the ability to accommodate a sample of at least 1.5” W x 3” H and an integrated lubricant cooling system which includes the following characteristics and capabilities: a. Internal cooling only, no external cooling units b. Desktop size only, system shall weigh less than 100 kg c. Power system 220-240 Volts (V), 50-60 Hertz (Hz) d. Internal lighting of the cutting chamber e. Automatic cutting of specimens f. Saw shall be capable of feed rates of at least 0.005 mm/s to 2 mm/s g. Saw shall be capable of cutoff wheel speed range of at least 1000 to 5000 RPM h. Saw shall be able to fit cutoff wheels of 3” - 6“ diameter i.
