Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. Salient Characteristics The Contractor shall deliver one (1) Laser Glass Processing Machine with the following specifications to Army Research Laboratory, Adelphi Maryland. CO2 light beam shall be perpendicular to fiber Shall produce a light beam at 90 degree incidence for stable heating All glass processing functions shall be performed with CO2 heat source (no filaments or electrodes) The machine shall have 130milimeter (mm) z-travel The machine shall have 360 degree fiber rotation The machine shall come equipped with a laser safety enclosure with a triple redundant interlock Machine shall have an all-in-one machine control software system C.
