Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. Technical Specifications The Acoustics and EM Sensing Branch requires four (4) custom-built 45-inch (") octagonal wind noise reduction filters with sidewalls to serve as windscreens that cover a new sensor hardware system built by ARL for the DoD. The new sensor hardware system will be enclosed in a 24" wide, 24" long, and 18" high box that requires protection. The octagonal wind noise reduction filters with sidewalls shall fit over the sensor hardware system's box without contact, thus preventing mechanical vibrations being coupled into the box. The screens shall be fabricated at the vendor's machine shop and the materials shall include a metal frame, with aluminum mesh for the skin, bolts, and tape. C.
