The Army Research Lab is seeking a remote continuous outdoor tracking, detection, and surveillance system using airborne Electro-Optical (EO) Visible-IR and radar sensors. Other requirements include the use of group two (2) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) with the imaging and radar sensors affixed to the UAS for persistent wide area detection, tracking, and surveillance. Additional requirements include the use of compact airborne digital beam-forming radar (DBF) to perform operations in challenging environments including all visibility challenged conditions, multiple UAS scenario with hand-off of information allowing continuous wide area coverage, fusion of EO-visible/IR and radar sensing modalities, automatic recharging of the UAS power source, and an open architecture suitable for group two (2) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
